Thank you Live Oak voters for electing me in 2002 and again in 2006. At the annual organizational meeting in December of 2005 I was elected by a majority 3-1 to serve as Board President. I have devoted many hours to the work required of a governing board member and appreciate your confidence in my ability to continue making the sometimes difficult but always necessary decisions to guide the District during these times of steadily declining enrollment, steadily increasing testing performance standards and periodic State budget crises. I have learned a tremendous amount during my tenure, in particular from my participation in the dozen or so day-long workshops of the Masters in Governance program, sponsored by the California School Board Association. I look forward to continuing to give careful attention to the affairs of the district throughout the remainder of my term, November 2010, and perhaps beyond.
Paul Franklin My other job is computer consulting. In my spare time I attempt to capture some of the wonder of the world. I also organize dances. And I grow food and flowers in any of several gardens. |
